Round Area Rugs to Add Curves to Your Home Decor - Shag Rug, Seagrass, and Kid's Rug

Unless you live in a lighthouse, or have had a house built to your own specification and chosen some curvy shaped rooms, then the chances are all your room are rectangles. That rectangular shape usually sets the tone for the home decor. Your home really needs some curves to break up the tedium of so many straight lines, and oval area rugs and round rugs can play their role in softening those straight lines.

Fortunately, round rugs are quite easily available these days, so choosing a circular rug is not such a chore as it may have been a few years ago. You can find round rugs in similar patterns to those which are oval , although some designs make full use of the circular shape to produce effects such as the kid's room rug in the picture below. If you do decide to use round rugs, be sure to visualize the placement before buying. Although round and oval rugs are useful in breaking up all those starlight lines, they can easily look out of place if not positioned well. consider carefully whether the shape will improve your decor and not detract from it.
